Sylhet, May 6 -- 20 Bangladeshis returned home on Saturday afternoon after serving different terms in Assam jail. They entered Bangladesh through Sutarkandi border of Beanibazar upazila here.

Lt. Colonel Faizur Rahman, Captain of 52 Battalion of BGB, said Indian police and BSF arrested them in different times for entering the country illegally. Later in court trial, they were sent to different jails of Assam for various terms.

But after completing the jail terms, their return to own country was delayed due to various complications, the captain added.

Finally, Indian police and BSF handed over the prisoners. At that time, their relatives came from different parts of the country to receive them.
