After UK, UAE, Australia and Singapore, Sri Lanka has now decided to ban travellers from India, in light of the current situation. The island nation, on Thursday, declared an immediate ban on travellers from India effective from May 06, 2021. While the rapidly rising COVID-19 cases in India is a contributing factor to the decision, Sri Lanka is also struggling with nearly 2,000 new COVID-19 cases every day for the last five days.
