At an ever-growing number of properties around the world, travellers can find unparalleled views of the cosmos by watching out for the "DarkSky Approved Lodging" badge. First created in 2023, under the auspices of the nonprofit DarkSky International, the distinction recognises hotels, glamping operators, and others that are working to mitigate light pollution and encourage their guests to look up.
