India, Nov. 4 -- Typhoon Tino, locally known as Kalmaegi, made landfall over the Philippines' Silago, Southern Leyte, just after midnight on November 4, 2025, unleashing typhoon-force winds, torrential rain, and life-threatening storm surges across parts of the Visayas and Mindanao.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) confirmed that the storm's eye crossed the coast around 12 am, before moving inland towards Mahaplag, Leyte, by 1 am on November 4. Tino is now sweeping westward across the central islands, prompting Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 4 warnings in several provinces and forcing tens of thousands to evacuate.
