India, Nov. 25 -- Volcanic debris from Ethiopia's HayliGubbi eruption on November 23, 2025, has disrupted air travel in India, prompting airlines to scrub services and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to warn of operational snags. Several Indian and international airlines, including Akasa Air, IndiGo, and KLM, have all cancelled flights after ash from the Ethiopian volcano drifted into regional air corridors. Reports also suggest the cloud mass may be edging towards western India.
