India, Feb. 2 -- IMD issues an Orange Alert as dense fog engulfs Delhi-NCR, forcing airports to switch to CAT III operations amid low visibility. On February 2, Delhi, Noida, and Gurgaon residents woke up to a thick blanket of fog, which reduced visibility to under 50 m in several areas. Delhi Airport has announced that it will be operating under CAT III (Category III) procedures. Major carriers like IndiGo and SpiceJet have also warned passengers that connecting as well as direct flights to and from Delhi may be impacted.
