India, Oct. 15 -- arren Island in the Andamans, the only active volcano in India, is now open for visits, with the launch of a round-trip cruise service. The overnight cruise service, announced by the Andaman and Nicobar administration, will begin from October 24, 2025, and offer tourists the chance to enjoy breathtaking views of the volcano from up close. The newly announced cruise trip is expected to enhance tourism in the Andamans, besides boosting the local economy.
