India, Feb. 9 -- International governments have updated guidance for travel to the United States, citing clashes with security officials, political demonstrations, and upcoming events like the FIFA World Cup.

In Germany, for example, the foreign office warned of "violent clashes with immigration and security authorities" in Minneapolis and other cities. Officials there also noted that while there has been a decline in violent crime across America, "the overall burden of violent crime is still higher than in major German cities" and "the risk of politically motivated violence remains elevated."
