India, June 27 -- There's a quiet shift unfolding in how people travel. Not content with lounging on beaches or checking into boutique hotels, today's travellers aren't simply taking holidays-they're chasing the high of endurance, effort, and physical discovery. They're showing up with clubs, staffs, and dive computers. For them, movement isn't a sidebar-it's the destination. No wonder the wellness tourism sector is projected to grow 16.6 per cent annually, reaching $8.4 trillion by 2027, and the global cycle tourism market is valued at $135.04 billion in 2024, projected to reach $234.29 billion by 2030. Add to that India's travel calendar now includes destination runs and cycling events across Mumbai, Delhi, Auroville, and Ladakh.
