India, Nov. 3 -- In a swift policy reversal, Sri Lanka has withdrawn its newly introduced Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) requirement, just days after the rule took effect on October 15, 2025. Travellers to the island nation will now return to the visa-application process that was in place before the ETA rollout, until further notice.
The policy, launched in mid-October, required travellers to hold a valid ETA and present it at boarding.
