India, June 10 -- A day after concluding one of the most efficiently run Hajj pilgrimages ever, Saudi Arabia is reopening Umrah visa services starting June 10, 2025. The first batch of international pilgrims is expected to arrive in Mecca and Medina on June 11, according to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

Unlike Hajj, Umrah can be performed year-round, and this new season will stretch well into 2026. "Hajj 2025 was not just a logistical milestone - it was a glimpse of what the future of pilgrimage can and should be," Dr Tawfig bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah, said in a statement.
