India, Sept. 24 -- A new Vande Bharat Express train is set to be launched soon, connecting Ferozepur in Punjab - a historic district headquarters near the Pakistan border - with New Delhi. The train will travel through major cities in Punjab, including Bathinda and Patiala. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced this development on September 23, 2025. Additionally, a new rail link will be constructed between Rajpura and SAS Nagar, providing more convenient access to large parts of Punjab and directly connecting them with the Chandigarh-Mohali-Panchkula tricity area.
