India, July 8 -- A significant milestone in India's aviation sector, the Noida International Airport in Jewar (Uttar Pradesh), is set to commence its domestic and cargo operations by September 15, 2025 (Phase 1) and international flights by November 2025 (Phase 2). Developed as a multi-phase mega project, the airport is projected to become Asia's largest international airport in terms of area and passenger capacity.

While the international airport in Jewar was initially scheduled to become operational in September 2024, the inauguration date was pushed back due to terminal construction roadblocks and regulatory clearance delays.
