India, May 4 -- By the end of 2025, Emirates plans to serve more than 70 cities with its refurbished Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft, along with A350s, representing almost 50 percent of its entire network. As part of its retrofit programme, estimated to be the largest in aviation history, Emirates updates one refurbished Boeing 777 every three weeks, giving the aircraft a complete nose-to-tail makeover.
The airline is investing HKD 38 billion (USD 5 billion) in 219 aircraft for refurbishment. The refurbished aircraft will feature a four-class configuration, including Emirates' signature Premium Economy and Business Class cabins.
