India, May 5 -- As summer holidays approach, applications for Schengen visas from India have increased by 29 percent compared to 2024, according to Atlys, a digital visa-processing platform. This surge, driven by early bookings, reinforces Europe's position as a top destination for Indian tourists.

Portugal, Greece, Spain, and Italy are among the preferred hotspots. These countries offer immersive cultural experiences, a delightful Mediterranean climate, vibrant cuisine, and various activities. With average summer temperatures between 20 C and 30 C, most European countries promise ideal weather for sightseeing and outdoor exploration.
