India, March 22 -- In the World Happiness Report for 2025, Hong Kong ranked 88th out of the 147 countries on the list, reaching an all-time low. The list is curated after looking at six key factors: GDP per capita, healthy life expectancy, freedom, social support, generosity as well as perceptions of corruption.
The happiness index rankings have been released annually since 2016 on March 20, the UN's International Day of Happiness. Finland emerged as the 'happiest' country once again, followed by Denmark and Iceland. Sweden and the Netherlands round up the top five.
