In a first of its kind in the world, Tokyo has installed two new sets of transparent public toilets in its parks in Shibuya district. The attention-grabbing toilets have been created by Pritzker Prize-winning architecture firm, Shigeru Ban Architects.

Available in Yoyogi Fukamachi Mini Park and Haru-no-Ogawa Community Park, these restrooms are being welcomed with open arms by the locals. The first thought to come to someone's mind may be the privacy aspect, but these public toilets are made of a 'smart glass' that turns opaque when the toilets are occupied.
