India, April 3 -- The Mizoram government has initiated the process of reimplementing the Protected Area Permit (PAP), also known as the Restricted Area Permit (RAP), following a directive from the central government. This move, which also affects Manipur and Nagaland, comes in response to heightened security concerns in the sensitive border regions these states share with Myanmar.

A PAP is a mandatory travel document for foreign nationals visiting specific restricted areas within India. Typically valid for 10 days, it can be extended for another seven days.
