India, Nov. 8 -- With the American government facing the longest shutdown in its history, domestic air travel has been impacted with flight delays and cancellations, owing to a critical shortage of air traffic controllers, who reported fatigue and are working without pay, or are on forced leave. The Federal Aviation Administration stated that it will reduce flights by 10 percent across 40 high-traffic airports across the country from November 7, 2025.

Travellers are requested to keep a close tab on their flight schedules and confirm with the airline about the status of their flights.
