India, May 19 -- The Uttar Pradesh government and Indian Railways have joined hands to promote eco-tourism through a unique 'jungle safari meets Vistadome train journey' experience. This route will connect the Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary with the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve, marking India's first jungle safari via train.

Train No. 52259/52260 will cover the 107 km route through lush greens and hidden wildlife in 4 hours and 25 minutes. The safari train currently operates on Saturdays and Sundays, but it could be extended into an everyday service.
