India, April 29 -- Dubai, already home to the iconic Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, is set to soar higher with the construction of the largest airport in the world.

Plans have been announced for a massive expansion of the existing Al Maktoum International Airport, also known as Dubai World Central. This ambitious project, valued at AED 128 billion (approximately USD 35 billion/INR 29,21,597,000,000), will transform Al Maktoum into the undisputed king of airports, boasting a size five times that of Dubai International Airport.
