India, March 3 -- The Delhi government has announced plans to launch an eco-friendly cruise service along the Yamuna to boost river tourism in India. The plan is to develop a six-kilometre stretch - from the Wazirabad barrage (Sonia Vihar) to Jagatpur (Shani temple) - to offer a new avenue for tourism.
The project is a joint effort involving multiple agencies, including the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI), the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), the Delhi Jal Board (DJB), and the irrigation and flood control department.
