India, Nov. 13 -- Thailand's government has confirmed that the upcoming New Year holiday will be extended to five days to encourage domestic travel and stimulate the economy. The cabinet has approved Friday, January 2, 2026, as a special public holiday, meaning the break will now run from Wednesday, December 31, 2025, to Sunday, January 4, 2026.
