India, June 11 -- Australia's Qantas Group has announced it will wind down operations of its Singapore-based budget airline, Jetstar Asia, citing unsustainable operating costs and mounting competition across the region. The airline, which has served passengers across Southeast Asia for nearly 20 years, is set to cease operations on July 31, 2025. In the lead-up to its closure, services will be gradually scaled back, Jetstar Asia confirmed in a statement on June 11.
