India, Nov. 3 -- Visitors from India will soon be able to pay for their purchases in Malaysia using their favourite UPI apps, thanks to a new partnership between Razorpay's Malaysian arm, Curlec, and NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL), the global subsidiary of India's National Payments Corporation of India.
The agreement, formalised during the Global Fintech Fest 2025, paves the way for real-time, cashless transactions directly in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR), freeing travellers from the hassle of international cards and currency exchanges. On the other end, Malaysian merchants will receive instant payments in local currency via Razorpay Curlec's platform.
