India, Jan. 29 -- In addition to being the 'Garden City' and 'Silicon Valley of India', Bangalore (now Bengaluru) also has bragging rights to the title of 'Pub City' with a string of hip bars. With the Bangalore Brewery opening as early as 1889, the city nurtured an ever-evolving beer culture that grew leaps and bounds with the United Breweries Group, gradually making way for the craft brewery wave. Once the pensioners' paradise, the city was now catering to the demand for high-quality drinking spots. This paved the way for India's first draught beer pub, Ramada on Bengaluru's Church Street, which opened in 1986.
