India, May 7 -- My first day in Tashkent found me wandering into the lively heart of the city-Chorsu Bazaar. All around and within the imposing blue dome, a sensory feast awaited, with an endless array of fruits, nuts, spices, meats, and cheeses vying for attention. Yet, one sight stood out: perfectly rounded, sun-like, doughnut-shaped breads, their thick crusts pressed in the centre and adorned with intricate patterns, stacked high on old-fashioned, big-wheeled strollers.
