India, Sept. 1 -- The historic Bairabi-Sairang rail line in Mizoram, part of India's Northeast Frontier Railway Zone, is on schedule to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 13, 2025. Constructed in challenging terrain, this railway line features 142 bridges - one of which is taller than the Qutub Minar - along with 48 tunnels, various underpasses, and overbridges. Spanning 51.38 kilometres, the project is set to significantly improve connectivity in northeast India.
