New Delhi, May 7 -- To enhance agricultural income and make farming a more lucrative profession, the Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is planning to broaden the scope of the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme. For the financial year 2025-26, the state has set a target to issue KCCs to 25 lakh additional farmers, enabling them to access timely and affordable credit with greater ease.

This initiative builds upon the achievements of the previous financial year, during which over 71 lakh farmers throughout the state received Kisan Credit Cards.
