Chandigarh, July 19 -- In a swift response to a viral video circulating on social media, the Punjab government has taken disciplinary action against suspended Naib Tehsildar Jasvir Kaur, who was allegedly seen accepting money from a member of the public in Fatehgarh Sahib. The state government has not only confirmed the authenticity of the video but also deemed the act serious enough to trigger urgent administrative measures.
The video, which has drawn public outrage, shows Jasvir Kaur receiving what appears to be bribe money while in conversation with a citizen. Though Jasvir Kaur had already been under suspension, the footage has reignited concerns about corruption within revenue offices, especially at the field level.
