India, Jan. 27 -- An extreme cold and a terrible winter storm have ravaged 14 states and cost at least 35 lives with communities still trying to cope with the dangerous situations. In Texas to New York, the harsh weather has messed up the normal life and there is a warning of another storm that might be stronger on the East Coast.

A combination of hypothermia, accidents and exposure have been reported to result in deaths. A sledding accident led to the death of a 16 year old girl in Frisco, Texas and this demonstrates how even leisure activities turn out to be fatal during icy seasons.
