India, Dec. 15 -- New DelhiTamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK chief MK Stalin on Monday hit back at the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre over changing the name of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) to 'Viksit Bharat Rojgar and Awas Yojana' saying it is arrogantly attempting to destroy a scheme that has rescued crores of people from the clutches of poverty.

The Chief Minister issued a strong condemnation of the Union BJP government's actions, saying that they are systematically dismantling the MGNREGS.
