New Delhi, Feb. 15 -- The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a plea filed by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha's one of the legal heirs challenging a Karnataka High Court order of January 13, which declined to return the movable and immovable assets, seized by the authorities, in the multi-crore disproportionate assets case.

A bench of Justices BV Nagarathna and Satish Chandra Sharma said abatement of the proceedings before the apex court due to her death does not mean that she has been acquitted in the case.
