India, July 4 -- Attempting to Bribe SSP's Reader After Taking Rs.1 Lakh in Matrimonial Case

CHANDIGARH:A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) posted in Faridkot district of Punjab has been arrested on corruption charges after allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh and then attempting to bribe a subordinate of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) to suppress a complaint against him.

As per the information the accused identified as Rajan Pal posted as DSP Crime Against Women has been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The action was taken on a complaint filed by Kiranjit Kaur-a resident of Pakka village.
