India, March 4 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 'Vantara', the world's largest wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation center in Gujarat.

The sanctuary, spanning 3,500 acres, has been built to serve as a significant center for wildlife preservation and houses over 1.5 lakh rescued animals, including more than 2,000 endangered and threatened species saved from trafficking, abuse, or habitat loss.

The 29-year-old Anant Ambani, the younger son of Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, founded Vantara.
