India, Dec. 9 -- In a major breakthrough in the investigation of the Delhi Red Fort blast case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday arrested Dr. Bilal Naseer Malla, a resident of Shutloo, Rafiabad in Baramulla district of North Kashmir. He is the eighth person to be arrested in the case registered under RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI.

According to the NIA, Dr. Bilal played a key role in the conspiracy behind the terror attack that left 11 people dead and several others injured in Delhi last month. He is alleged to have provided shelter and logistical support to Umar Un Nabi, one of the main accused in the case who was later killed. Dr. Bilal is also accused of deliberately destroying crucial evidence related to the incident.
