Manipur, Aug. 6 -- A meeting on a community understanding programme between the Thadou Inpi Manipur and COCOMI, AMUCO, FOCS, Ima groups, student leaders and Arambai Tenggol has been undergoing on Wenesday, August 8.

The initiative, titled "The Road to Peace in Manipur", aimed at fostering community understanding and resolving long-standing ethnic misunderstandings.

As part of the discussion, the Thadou Inpi has intended to make a strong distinction that the Thadou community is not part of the "Kuki" group. The leaders emphasized that the Thadou tribe is an indigenous community of Manipur with its own distinct cultural and historical roots.
