Srinagar, Aug. 16 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has assured full support to victims of the devastating cloudburst in Chasoti village of Kishtwar district, which has claimed at least 65 lives.

In a post on X, the LG said he had spoken to senior officials to review rescue and relief operations and directed them to ensure immediate aid and uninterrupted essential supplies to affected families.

"Spoke to senior officials and took stock of the rescue and relief operations at Chasoti, Kishtwar. I will ensure the reconstruction of homes damaged in flash floods. Immediate relief and essential supplies have been directed," the LG stated.
