India, Jan. 15 -- The Supreme Court of India on January 15 rejected the petition filed by the producers of the Tamil film Jana Nayagan, starring actor-politician Vijay, seeking clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

A bench led by Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice Augustine George Masih said it would not hear the matter, noting that the Madras High Court's Division Bench is already scheduled to consider the case on January 20.
