Rajouri, June 30 -- major success along the Line of Control (LoC), the Indian Army on the intervening night of June 29 thwarted a major infiltration attempt in the Tarkundi-Gambhir sector of Rajouri district, inflicting injuries on at least four Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists and capturing a key infiltrator guide alive.

Sources said alert troops deployed in the forward areas picked up movement of armed men trying to breach the LoC fence from the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir side. Responding swiftly to actionable intelligence inputs, the Army and BSF launched a coordinated counter-infiltration operation in the rugged and densely forested terrain.
