Srinagar, Aug. 29 -- Authorities on Friday issued a fresh traffic advisory for commuters across Jammu and Kashmir as continuous rainfall and landslides have severely impacted road connectivity. While the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has launched clearance operations in the Pir Panjal region, the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway remains closed due to extensive damage at several locations.

Officials said traffic is plying smoothly on the Mughal Road and Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) Road as per the advisory. However, Sinthan Road is open only for light motor vehicles (LMVs) and is being monitored by the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL).
