India, Nov. 2 -- The Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections in October, in gross terms, rose 4.6 per cent to about Rs 1.95 lakh crore compared to about Rs 1.87 lakh crore in the same month last year, according to official data released Saturday.
In the month of October, collections of Central-GST, State GST, and Integrated-GST rose year-on-year, while cess collections dipped year-on-year, data showed. In this case also, all components CGST, SGST, IGST rose, while cess declined.
So far in 2025-26 April-October, the GST collections rose9.0 per cent to about Rs 13.89 lakh crore, as against Rs 12.74 lakh crore in the same period last fiscal.
