JAMMU, Sept. 6 -- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday announced that a fresh probe will be conducted into the Chittisinghpora massacre of March 20, 2000, in which 35 Sikhs were brutally killed by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists in Anantnag district.
The announcement came after a delegation of the 35 Shaheed Singhs Welfare Organization, Chittisinghpora met the Lieutenant Governor and reiterated their long-standing demand for justice. The delegation pressed for a thorough investigation into the massacre, which has remained one of the darkest chapters in Jammu and Kashmir's history of terrorism.
