India, Nov. 2 -- Exxon Mobil reported a strong third-quarter performance Friday, bolstered by strong Guyana and Permian Basin production. Exxon earned $7.55 billion, or $1.76 per share, for the period ended Sept. 30. Removing one time costs and benefits, earnings were $1.88 per share, which topped the $1.81 per share that Wall Street was looking for, according to a survey by Zacks Investment Research. Exxon does not adjust its reported results based on one-time events such as asset sales. Revenue totaled $85.29 billion, which was short of the $86.77 billion that analysts had projected.
