India, Feb. 12 -- Duplication of EPFO accounts leads to problems when people attempt to check their provident fund (PF) balance and conduct fund transfers. Employees frequently receive multiple Member IDs because they fail to transfer their previous EPF account when changing jobs. The EPFO 3.0 system enables users to merge duplicate accounts through its online portal.
Step 4: Initiate Online Transfer
Click on 'Online Services', 'One Member, One EPF Account (Transfer Request)'.
Step 5: Verify Details
You are required to confirm your personal and employment details. Choose either your previous or current employer for attestation.
Step 6: Submit Request
Authenticate using OTP sent to your registered mobile number and submit the request.
