India, Nov. 21 -- Cross-state travel within India has increased considerably with the rise in vehicle ownership. This increases the significance of uniform traffic enforcement. Opting for a digital challan system, such as e-challan, allows states to work more efficiently. All states registered record violations and update data in real time.

According to the Ministry of Road Transport, more than 18.2 crore digital challans are issued nationwide for violations. Through echallan, police can easily track challan status. For instance, a driver moving from Delhi to Bihar, their pending payment appears on e-challan Bihar.
