India, Dec. 29 -- Congress on Monday welcomed the Supreme Court decision to put its November judgment in abeyance saying the issue is now to be studied in greater detail and demanded that the Union Minister for Environment, Forests, and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav must resign immediately.

The remarks from the Congress party came soon after the Supreme Court on Monday put its November judgment in abeyance on Monday (December 29, 2025). CJI said that a new committee has to be formed to do the survey and study on Aravalli hills. The court issued notice to be heard again on January 21.
