India, Feb. 27 -- The Bihar unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is facing sharp criticism over its decision to induct Sahebganj MLA Raju Singh into the Nitish Kumar cabinet, despite his history of serious criminal charges.
Singh, who belongs to an influential and wealthy Rajput family, is an accused in a case of attempted murder of a well-known Delhi-based architect and author that took place in 2019.
On the night of 2019 New Year's Eve, Singh had hosted a party at his farmhouse in Fatehpur Beri in South Delhi.
