Chandigarh, July 24 -- The Crime Branch of Haryana Police have busted a beef smuggling racket in Haryana's Nuh district.
The police team have raided Mohammadpur Ahir village, resulting in the arrest of a father-son duo, Mohammad Farooq and Mohammad Javed. The police claimed that the accused were involved in smuggling of beef.
The raid led to the recovery of approximately 710 kilograms of suspected beef and the rescue of four cows. The development has also exposed cow smuggling despite strict law enacted by the state government.
The police officials said that following a tip-off, a police team led by Inspector Satpal Singh of the Crime Branch raided a location in Mohammadpur Ahir, where the suspects were allegedly involved in cow slaughte...
