India, Nov. 3 -- Coach of Uma Chetry Mehboob Alam, the first coach of Assam's cricket sensation Uma Chetry, expressed heartfelt pride following India's historic victory in the ICC Women's World Cup 2025. In an exclusive conversation with TSG, Alam stated that it's a proud moment for him as his student Uma was part of the World Cup winning squad. "It's a very proud moment for us, we trained her and her perfomance during the world cup should be praised. As I trained her, since starting time of her training she was completely dedicated, disciplined and she knows how to complete the task. I also inspired her by telling that she should not be limited for the state team, she should play for the country," said Mehboob Alam.
